Fabio Silva is scheduled to sign a contract within hours at Rangers ahead of a loan move from Wolves, according to O Jogo.
The Portuguese sports newspaper reported on its website on Thursday (28 December) that the 21-year-old will join the Gers until the end of the season.
It added that the Light Blues beat Glasgow rivals Celtic to signing the Portuguese forward from the Premier League side, with the club’s recruitment director Nils Koppen influential in making the deal happen.

This deal could potentially hand Rangers a huge advantage in the SPFL title race after beating Celtic to the punch to secure a loan move for the forward.
It’s been no secret that both of the Old Firm clubs are looking to strengthen their attacking options in the January transfer window as they prepare to battle it out for domestic honours.
While the Hoops have already been dumped out of Europe, the Gers had their qualification into the Europa League knockout rounds to tempt Silva with during the negotiations process.
The Portuguese will look to challenge Cyriel Dessers to lead the line at Ibrox after concerns have emerged around the fitness of Kemar Roofe and Danilo is set to be sidelined for the next few months.
Despite not exactly being prolific in the early stages of his career, the forward, who signed for Wolves from Porto for £35million in 2020, showed on loan at Anderlecht and PSV last season that he does have plenty of quality.
