Sky Sports pundit spots Connor Goldson injury ‘problem’ in Rangers win v Motherwell
Connor Goldson looked like he had a groin problem late on in the match between Rangers and Motherwell, according to Kenny Miller.
The central defender started and played 86 minutes as the Gers won the clash 2-0 at Fir Park on Sunday (24 December).
Goldson was then taken off by manager Philippe Clement in the closing minutes of the match after receiving treatment.

“It’s looking like he has a little groin problem,” Miller said live on Sky Sports Football (1.42pm, 24 December). “He’s just had a sit down, you can see the physio is prodding away at his right groin. They will be hoping it’s just a precaution, just get him off, he’s maybe felt a little niggle.”

Worrying
It will definitely be worrying for Clement and Rangers if Goldson has picked up an injury problem at Fir Park. It is both a busy and crucial time for the Glasgow club as they look to keep the pressure on Scottish Premiership leaders and fierce rivals Celtic.
They will need as many players as possible if they are to do that, with Goldson undoubtedly a key man for Clement. He helped the Gers to another important win and clean sheet, with the club now just two points behind Celtic in the standings.
They also have a game in hand over Brendan Rodgers’s side, with the two rivals set to go head-to-head at Celtic Park on Saturday (30 December).
Before then, however, Rangers must host Ross County at Ibrox on Wednesday (27 December), where they could be without Goldson.
Celtic meanwhile travel to Dundee on Tuesday (26 December) before the highly-anticipated showdown with Rangers, with a huge three points up for grabs.
