We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Rangers...
Rangers midfielder Tom Lawrence has suffered a Grade 2 muscle tear which has been keeping him out of action, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the Wales international will continue his rehab during the winter break as Scottish football will be on a pause for a few weeks.
Philippe Clement told Sky Sports that the 29-year-old will surely be out until the third week of January.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“Based on the timeline, this looks like a grade 2 out of 4 muscle injury, a partial tear.
“Hard to say anything more about injury specifics as details are sparse.
“In terms of recovery, the initial focus will be on restoring mobility and strength and then progressing gradually, eventually to sport-specific activities.
“He will be missing training for a few more weeks and will continue his rehab in the winter break.“

The 29-year-old has played the full 90 minutes in just two games this season given his fitness issues.
He has yet to find the back of the net, playing primarily in an attacking midfield role but has delivered two assists.
He must almost the entirety of last season due to injury and could only manage to make five league appearances for the Bears.
In other Rangers news, the club may now look to sign an international striker in January amid a £2.3m development this week.
