Rangers must sanction multi-million transfer for Hearts ace Lawrence Shankland after new Danilo injury blow
Rangers have to prioritise signing a striker as Danilo’s injury is understood to be worse than the club first feared, adding to Philippe Clement’s woes.
The Brazilian already suffered one setback when he had a facial injury and is now set for an extended spell on the sidelines.
Injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar has revealed that the 24-year-old’s ligament injury will be keeping him out of training until April.

He exclusively told Ibrox News: “It is a bad one and it’ll keep him out for a while.
“The manager said initially that it was unclear at the time so he was likely still being assessed.
“He then will have undergone further tests to see the extent of the damage and that showed it was worse than first feared.
“Sometimes you need days to see how the injury evolves and have a clearer look at it.“
One Football reported on 19 December that Gers were considering making a £3million offer and using a player as makeweight in the deal.
Alex Lowry and Scott Wright were the names being mentioned and the latter is someone who fans will not mind parting ways with.
Wright appeared to be on his way out in the summer, but a move did not go through and he stayed put at Ibrox.

Shankland is a top striker, among the best players in the SPFL and would walk into the Rangers starting eleven.
Cyriel Dessers has proven he’s not up to the mark and Abdallah Sima prefers to play off the left and then drift into central positions.
It remains to be seen whether or not the board backs Clement up in his multi-million pursuit of the 28-year-old Scotland striker.
In other Rangers news, the club may now look to sign an international striker in January amid a £2.3m development this week.
