Simon Jordan slams ‘fool’ Michael Beale live on air after Rangers comments

Simon Jordan has slammed Michael Beale live on air, urging the Englishman to “shut up” after hearing his latest comments surrounding his time in charge at Rangers.

The former Gers manager departed Ibrox in October after a miserable start to the season which saw Rangers fall well behind Celtic in the title race, fail to qualify for the Champions League and lose the opening Old Firm derby of the season.

Beale has since been appointed as manager of Sunderland and has blamed the change around him at Rangers for his poor start to the season, an excuse that has not been received well by Jordan who has labelled Beale a “fool”.

Speaking on talkSPORT (19 December, 10:28) he said: “Oh shut up. Shut up and get on with your job. It’s about your failings, it’s not about change. Those that can overcome, can overcome, if a job is bleeding easy everybody would be doing it.

“The reason you got the Rangers job is because you were perceived to be capable. Rangers was a big job, it was a big opportunity, you made a fool of yourself up there, you weren’t very good at it and another guy has gone up there and look what he’s doing with the place.”

Shut up

Beale is correct to suggest that there was a lot of change around him during his time at Ibrox, but the idea that he is not at all to blame for the Light Blues’ shortcomings during his time in charge is completely ridiculous and out of order.

As Jordan suggested, the job that Clement has done since arriving in Glasgow is a demonstration that the tools are in place at Ibrox to build an incredibly successful and capable side, but the Englishman was just unable to get a tune out of them during his tenure.

Rangers

The Rangers job is a notoriously challenging task and as Jordan said, if it was easy everybody would be doing it. For whatever reason Beale wasn’t able to cut the mustard in Scotland and he paid the price for that. Whether he likes it or not, he’s partly to blame.

Luckily for Gers supporters, they don’t have to put up with his excuses or nonsense in press conferences anymore and they can look forward to a brighter future under Clement. It’s safe to say the Light Blues have upgraded in the dugout so far this season.
