Pundit blown away by Rangers ace Dujon Sterling after recent training admission
Hearts midfielder Andy Halliday has been full of praise for Rangers defender Dujon Sterling after his display v Aberdeen.
The 24-year-old started the 1-0 victory on Sunday, 17 December and was among the standout performers as Gers lifted the Viaplay Cup.
After a slow start to life at Ibrox since his move in the summer, he picked up his game and was even voted Man of the Match.

Halliday told Clyde 1 Superscoreboard: “I’m sure I’m sitting here along with a lot of other people thinking, ‘Where’s Dujon Sterling been all season?’. For me, his two performances since he’s come into the team have been nothing short of incredible.
“Players can play out of position but I think the hardest position to do that is a central midfielder if you are not a midfielder. There’s a lot less time on the ball. You need to take it into areas where you’re not used to as a professional footballer, and I thought his performances over the two games were exceptional.
“It was interesting to hear Philippe Clement saying he had seen that versatility in training because, I mean, how? It’ll be interesting to see what happens with him in his position in the team moving forward.”
Revelation
Sterling’s resurgence at Rangers marks a remarkable turnaround in his Ibrox journey.
Initially facing scepticism from fans due to a slow start, the 24-year-old has transformed into a pivotal figure under Philippe Clement.
Deployed as a central midfielder against Real Betis and Aberdeen, Sterling not only adapted seamlessly but delivered standout performances crucial to historic victories.

His versatility, shifting from right-back to an impactful central midfield role, showcases a valuable asset for Clement’s team.
The Englishman’s emergence as a key player in crucial fixtures, notably contributing to lifting the Viaplay Cup, signals a potential shift in his status from a forgotten man to a staple in the squad.
His ability to excel in an unfamiliar position and deliver man-of-the-match displays speaks volumes about his adaptability and determination and makes him one of the players to watch going into the second half of the season.
In other Rangers news, the club may now look to sign an international striker in January amid a £2.3m development this week.
