Leeds United ace Glen Kamara sends message to James Tavernier after Rangers Viaplay Cup win v Aberdeen
Former Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara has sent a social media message to James Tavernier after he lifted the Viaplay Cup.
The right-back scored the only goal of the match as the Gers defeated Aberdeen 1-0 at Hampden Park on Sunday (17 December).
Finland international Kamara made almost 200 appearances for the Glasgow club before joining Leeds United in the summer.

Tavernier took to social media to celebrate with supporters, writing on Instagram (17 December): “We achieved what was needed to be done. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday Rangers fans.”
Among those replying to the post was former Rangers ace Kamara, who commented with the ‘goat’ emoji, which represents ‘Greatest of all time.’

Special day
Tavernier has worked harder than most to lift that trophy, with the Gers captain staying with the Glasgow club through thick and thin over the years.
His delight at the success was evident, with the right-back fully deserving of the achievement thanks to his very well-taken goal.
The defender has come up with countless match-winning moments for his club, with manager Philippe Clement set to be delighted with his goalscoring defender.
At the same time, however, the boss will be desperate for his attackers to be finding the back of the net more often. They will have the opportunity to do just that when Rangers welcome St Johnstone to Ibrox on Wednesday (20 December) in Scottish Premiership action.
The Gers sit just five points behind league leaders Celtic, and have two games in hand over Brendan Rodgers’s men. It is a huge chance for the club to continue their momentum, meaning the celebrations from the Aberdeen win must be short and sweet.
In other Rangers news, a BBC Sport journalist has shared a Gers Scottish Premiership title verdict amid a “crisis” at fierce rivals Celtic.
