Keith Jackson predicts Rangers scoreline v Real Betis in Daily Record
Keith Jackson has predicted Rangers to pick up a draw against Real Betis in their Europa League clash on Thursday (14 December).
Writing on page 42 of the Daily Record’s print edition on 14 December, the journalist said the trip to Spain is the “toughest fixture” the Gers have faced in the group stages so far this season as they look to secure their place in the knockout rounds.
He added that the Light Blues have proved themselves to be “formidable travellers” as he tipped them to earn a 1-1 draw that will see them through to the next round of the competition should the result between Aris Limassol and Sparta Prague go their way.

In their hands
It certainly won’t be an easy game against Real Betis, but the most important thing for Rangers heading into the clash is that they do have matters in their own hands.
They do have to secure a victory to make sure of their passage through to the knockout rounds as Sparta Prague could go above them with a win in Cyprus.
But the Gers should feel confident that they can beat the Sevilla-based club after seeing them off 1-0 at Ibrox earlier in the campaign.

Philippe Clement’s side have been in excellent form since he took charge, but the Light Blues boss is without several first-team players ahead of the game after several injuries have arrived at just the wrong time.
That isn’t something the Belgian can afford to dwell on, though, as the Betis match – and the Viaplay Cup final against Aberdeen on Sunday (17 December) – are by far the biggest fixtures he has faced during his short time in Glasgow.
In other Rangers news, Clement has been left baffled by an SFA decision as an Ibrox fine is to be paid within days.
