Pundit issues Rangers admission ahead of Real Betis Europa League clash
Peter McCloy has issued an admission over Rangers and Real Betis ahead of their UEFA Europa League clash on Thursday, 14 December.
The Gers legend believes that dropping two points against Aris has made things tricky for his former side.
However, having witnessed Betis live, he thinks Philippe Clement’s side have what it takes to secure a positive result.

He told the Daily Record, “The draw against Aris has made the chances of qualifying an awful lot harder. But you never know. I was at the first game against Betis at Ibrox and they’re not world beaters.
“Rangers need to be at their best. If they can do that hopefully it will be enough to top the group.”
Underdogs
Manuel Pellegrini’s side boasts an impressive home unbeaten streak across all competitions, adding to the difficulty Rangers will face.
Despite Gers’ recent good form, with four wins in their last five away games, they confront historical struggles in European away fixtures, especially against Spanish teams.
Having secured just three points from 13 previous away encounters with Spanish opponents, breaking this pattern presents a formidable challenge.

However, Clement’s side cannot afford to give up, considering their current second-place standing in the group.
While injuries and uncertainties surround both squads, Rangers’ recent success and the importance of securing points for progression demand resilience and strategic play.
The challenging nature of the match should fuel Rangers’ determination rather than lead to surrender as they know that they need a win or other results going their way to go through.
In other Rangers news, a first-team player may have played last his game at Ibrox as an update has emerged recently putting his future in jeopardy.
