Frontrunner emerges as Rangers and Celtic in race to sign Aberdeen star Bojan Miovski

Celtic are currently leading Rangers in the race to secure the services of Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovski in January, according to the Scottish Sun.

The newspaper reported on its website on 9 December that Aberdeen value the 24-year-old at £4.4million – a club record fee.

Several clubs south of the border are also keen on signing the North Macedonia international.

Rangers

Worth considering?

Rangers should consider Miovski as a potential target due to his goal-scoring prowess and versatility in the attacking third.

The 24-year-old Macedonian is on Celtic’s radar as well and beating their rivals to his services will make things even better.

The striker’s style of play aligns with Gers’ attacking philosophy, as he possesses technical skills, agility and a clinical finishing ability that could provide additional firepower to Philippe Clement’s squad.

Rangers

His adaptability to different attacking positions, whether as a central striker or in wider roles, adds versatility to the team.

While Aberdeen value him at a record-breaking fee, Rangers may find the investment justified if Miovski proves to be the missing link in enhancing their attacking options and maintaining competitiveness in various competitions.

Cyriel Dessers has already proven that he may not be the long-term answer while Danilo is set for an extended spell on the sidelines so the club are in dire need of some firepower.

In other Rangers news, the club may now rekindle the transfer interest in a ‘Dynamic’ central midfielder amid a recent behind-the-scenes coup.
