Doctor issues injury update on Rangers midfielder Nico Raskin
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Rangers...
Rangers midfielder Nico Raskin will be undergoing further tests to check how severe his injury is, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
Philippe Clement revealed at the start of December that the Belgian’s rehabilitation is not going well and he may have suffered a setback.
The injury expert claims that the 22-year-old does look like a few weeks away from returning to the first team.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“This could mean a few things – the injury itself is not healing well and/or there’s something else that has begun to bother him as well.
“It could have something to do directly with the ankle or indirectly somewhere else.
“The amount of time he will miss and the next steps will depend fully on what the medical staff finds via testing.
“Difficult to give a best or worst case scenario because information is so limited but he does seem some weeks away.“

Raskin last featured for Gers at the end of October – against Hearts – where he picked up his injury.
There has not been too much mentioned about his condition other than it being a knock which is taking longer than usual to recover.
He has made eight league appearances thus far and the feeling is that whenever he’s back to fitness, Clement will throw him right back into the team.
In other Rangers news, the club may now rekindle the transfer interest in a ‘Dynamic’ central midfielder amid a recent behind-the-scenes coup.
