Rangers transfer news: Philippe Clement addresses Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos links
Philippe Clement has addressed speculation over the possibility of Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent returning to Rangers.
The Belgian did not want to get drawn into the Colombian’s specifics but categorically ruled out a return for the Englishman.
Both players left in the summer on the expiry of their contracts at Ibrox.

Via the Scottish Sun, Beale said, “I can only speak about players who are in the building, not players who are outside the building. As long as somebody isn’t in the building, there is no reason to speak about them.”
“I can only say things when they are realistic, and it’s not about this case (Kent). I want to be clear about that. Just in general for the next two months for December and January.”
Not needed
While the return of Kent and Morelos to Rangers may be a tempting prospect for fans, the club should carefully consider the reasons behind their departures in the first place.
Both players left as part of a squad overhaul, decisions made by Michael Beale, their personal decisions, performances, tactical considerations and overall team dynamics.

Bringing them back without addressing the initial issues that led to their departure might risk disrupting the current team harmony and the strategies implemented by Clement.
They’ve brought in Abdallah Sima who’s already doing exceptionally well down the left and signing Kent would make little to no sense.
Moreover, the financial aspects of re-signing both players, including transfer fees and wages, should be carefully evaluated against the potential benefits they bring to the squad.
It’s crucial for the club to prioritise long-term planning and squad development rather than making emotional decisions based on past affiliations.
In other Rangers news, the club may now rekindle the transfer interest in a ‘Dynamic’ central midfielder amid a recent behind-the-scenes coup.
