Danilo faces surgery as Tom Lawrence ruled out for a month – Philippe Clement injury update ahead of Rangers v Dundee
Philippe Clement has revealed yet more injury woes at Rangers ahead of the SPFL meeting with Dundee at the weekend.
The Light Blues boss shared the news in his pre-match press conference on 8 December that Danilo is out and faces possible surgery on his knee after a tackle in the win over Hearts.
And Tom Lawrence, who limped off early at Tynecastle, faces a month on the sidelines as he will be missing until the league’s winter break.
Additionally, Clement will still be without Scott Wright and Ryan Jack at Ibrox on Saturday, along with Nico Raskin who has been out for a run of games already.

It may not have been especially pretty but the 1-0 win at Tynecastle was an important one to build on the victory over St Mirren last weekend.
Clement will know that the December run is likely to pivotal to the season and the early stages of his reign at Ibrox, so after a couple of flat draws he needs to build up as much momentum as possible heading into the Viaplay Cup final and his first meeting with Celtic.
That task clearly hasn’t been helped by the fact that the injury problems at Ibrox simply show no signs of abating any time soon.
The manager has repeatedly commented on his bemusement with the fitness situation at the club since he arrived and he won’t be getting any more comfortable with it after the latest news.
Lawrence’s most injury continues a miserable series of events for him since his arrival from Derby two summers ago, while Danilo’s issue comes after he missed time with a facial fracture early in the season.
Not only does it appear that the squad is repeatedly hit by problems but certain players are routinely ruled out for lengthy absences over and over, which constantly deprive them of a run to allow them to get into a rhythm.
And if both of the attacking players are now potentially out for the crucial upcoming games it will only have heightened the pressure on the available options, and the manager himself.
