Hearts handed double boost ahead of clash v Rangers, Tynecastle will be rocking
Hearts welcome Rangers to Tynecastle on Wednesday (6 December) as the hosts look to close the gap on the visitors.
Steven Naismith’s side currently sit third in the Scottish Premiership table, with Philippe Clement’s men in second. The former have 23 points to their name, with the latter on 31, with both having played 14 matches each so far.
Tynecastle will certainly be rocking for the big occasion under the lights, but the hosts have been handed a double boost ahead of the match to hopefully bring about an even better atmosphere among the Hearts faithful.

First and foremost, striker Liam Boyce has extended his contract at the Edinburgh club, and will remain a Hearts player until the summer of 2025 [official Hearts website, 6 December].
The Northern Ireland international has made over 100 appearances for the club, scoring 36 times, although he is likely to miss the upcoming clash at home to Rangers.
The second boost comes from his fellow striker Lawrence Shankland, with the Scotland international named as the cinch Premiership Player of the Month for November on Tuesday (5 December).

The 28-year-old was key as Hearts won three league matches out of three, scoring a double against Motherwell as well as finding the back of the net against St Johnstone.
He is certain to be in the thick of the action against Rangers at Tynecastle, with the home supporters desperate for their players to put in a top display and clinch all three points against Clement’s side.
In other Rangers news, a pundit has slammed the strikers at Ibrox as a Shankland Hearts prediction is made ahead of the clash in Edinburgh.
