Impressive Lawrence Shankland display in Hearts v Rangers could spell end for either Danilo or Cyriel Dessers
Rangers supporters were full of excitement and hope as the new season kicked off after a busy summer transfer window.
Michael Beale, who was in charge at Ibrox at the time, spent big on a massive squad overhaul, which included the signatures of plenty of attackers.
Those attackers were Sam Lammers, Danilo and Cyriel Dessers, with Abdallah Sima arriving at the Scottish club on loan.

Unfortunately for the Gers, it is only really the latter who has impressed at Ibrox, with the temporary forward set to disappear at the end of the season.
But new manager Philippe Clement may just make a decision on one of Sima’s fellow forwards as soon as next month.
With Sima shining and Lammers being utilised in an attacking midfield role behind the striker, it is perhaps Danilo and Dessers who are now fighting for their immediate futures.
And those futures may just be decided when Hearts welcome Rangers to Tynecastle for a Scottish Premiership clash on Wednesday (6 December).

Clement may give game time to both of his strikers in that meeting, but the pair could be outshone by Hearts ace Lawrence Shankland.
The Scotland international is in red-hot form once again this season, and is a player that Philippe Clement admires, according to talkSPORT host David Tanner (27 October).
Another impressive display from the Hearts striker may just give Clement food for thought ahead of the imminent January transfer window, with Rangers highly unlikely to be able to have Shankland, Danilo and Dessers in their squad, alongside Sima and Lammers.
In other Rangers news, a Sky Sports pundit has slammed a Gers “failure” as a “booby prize” is on the cards for the Ibrox club.
