Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack has possibly picked up another setback as he recovers from his injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert assessed his fitness record and noticed that he was facing issues before the international break, but was still called up to the Scotland squad.

He then played 12 minutes in the game against Norway and has not featured for club or country since then and is a doubt for the Hearts clash on 6 December.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “Considering he played 12 minutes during the break, my initial reading would be that he’s trying to push through some discomfort and test it out.

My secondary reading is that with his recent injury history, he may have picked up another issue and will now be unlikely to play until he’s cleared by the club.

Really difficult to give the next steps or more insight because there’s such little information being shared.

Jack’s endured a frustrating time with injuries over the last 12-18 months and does not appear to be able to catch a break.

The 31-year-old suffered a tough time last season too but was handed a one-year extension at Ibrox.

This term, he’s made eight league appearances and it remains to be seen whether the club hierarchy decides to reward him with another contract at the end of the season.

In other Rangers news, the club may now rekindle the transfer interest in a ‘Dynamic’ central midfielder amid a recent behind-the-scenes coup.
