Rangers supporters have ‘had enough’ of Adballah Sima as star ‘living off’ Ibrox start
Mark Guidi has slammed Abdallah Sima for his recent form at Rangers, suggesting the Brighton loanee is “living off” his form early in his time at Ibrox.
The 22-year-old has scored nine goals in 24 appearances in all competitions for the Light Blues this season but hasn’t found the net since October in what is now an eight-match goalless run.
While much of the criticism from supporters in recent weeks has been directed at the likes of Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers, Guidi believes Rangers fans will have “had enough” of Sima given his poor recent form at Ibrox.

Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show (1 December, 9:15) he said: “I think they (Rangers fans) have had enough of a lot of the players. Sima has hardly kicked a ball in the past three or four weeks. He’s living off what he was doing two months ago. Not good enough.
“Lammers, not good enough. Cantwell is not good enough. It needs to be better.”
Had enough
It wasn’t too long ago that Rangers supporters were pining for Sima to be signed on a permanent basis from Brighton as he went from strength to strength at Ibrox in the final weeks of Michael Beale’s tenure and Steven Davis’ interim period in charge.
But since Clement has arrived in Glasgow, the goals have dried up for the forward and his performances have not been anywhere near good enough. Like many of the Belgian’s side, he needs to start improving if he wants to keep his place in the Gers’ starting XI.

In the draw with Aris Limassol in the Europa League, the 22-year-old failed to even take a single shot before he was substituted after 79 minutes. He only managed to create one chance and was tackled in four of his six attempted dribbles.
One good run of form will not define Sima’s career at Ibrox and other than that spell around October he has flattered to deceive and been fairly ineffective for Rangers. Clement has bigger problems to solve in the coming weeks ahead of the January transfer window, but he needs to get his Senegalese forward firing again.
In other Rangers news, one journalist has tipped Lammers to depart Ibrox on loan in January with “Heerenveen written all over him“
