BBC Sportsound pundit calls out Rangers after what they did v St Mirren
Steven Thompson has called out Rangers after their sluggish opening 45 minutes against St Mirren at Ibrox on Sunday 3 December, despite taking the lead.
The Bears went into the break with 1-0 ahead thanks to Abdallah Sima, but a frosty Ibrox was not exactly warmed up by the football on display, after a week with two disappointing draws.
The BBC pundit insisted that the performance so far was not up to the standards of the club, with more needed to warm up the fans in attendance.

Speaking live on BBC Sportsound, as shared on their blog, Thompson called out his former club as they stunk out Ibrox yet again in another sluggish start.
“The performance is not up to the standards from Rangers,” he wrote,
“They’ve got to do more to entertain the 50,000 fans here.”

Poor.
Philippe Clement will not be a happy man once again, with his side simply stinking out the stadium once again with slow, sloppy football that does not translate to numerous goals.
There were glimpses as there have been recently, but it says a lot when St Mirren themselves probably think they could have been heading into the break ahead, only for Sima to score.
Changes were made before the game but something was just not clicking again, and it could be that the Belgian has to go to his bench again unless a rollicking at half-time does the trick.
Winning games is obviously the main goal, but it has been some time since Rangers last did it in style and that will be the complaint with such big games ahead.
Hopefully, the late goal in the half will light up not only the stadium, but the team too as they look to send a message out to their rivals yet again that they’re going nowhere.
