Tom Taylor to arrive at Rangers from Premier League on 22 December
Rangers have agreed to hire Tom Taylor as their new head of performance, according to the Scottish Daily Mail.
The newspaper reported via their print edition on Saturday (2 December, page 100) that Nils Koppen will join the Gers as their new director of football on 2 January after working with PSV Eindhoven since 2018.
As well as Koppen, Taylor will join the Light Blues from Brighton on 22 December.

Welcome, Tom
Taylor’s got quite a lot of experience at working in the fitness category of top clubs.
He spent five years at West Ham as a sports scientist and then a first-team fitness coach before, in 2017, moving to Hearts to become their head of fitness.
In November 2019, he returned to the Premier League to join the backroom set-up at Brighton and play a role in their rise to being one of the most revered teams in English football.
He was a first-team strength and conditioning coach at the AMEX before taking up a different role that also involved players’ fitness.

The UEFA A-licensed coach looks to be a good additon to the Rangers set-up and we’re hoping that he can do a lot of work to help not only improve the overall fitnes of players but also take a major step forward in injury prevention.
Rangers have been hard hit by injury issues in recent years – the cold weather and the plastic pitches don’t help.
Taylor will hoepfully be able to oversee an improvement where he can though to ensure Philippe Clement has the best players at his disposal as much as possible.
In other Rangers news, it’s a done deal as the Gers reach an agreement for an early-January arrival.
