Rangers v St Mirren potential postponement update as news emerges

Conditions are expected to improve in the next 24 hours ahead of Rangers taking on St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership, according to The Scotsman.

The newspaper has reported on its website that SPFL cards have been decimated across the weekend as many games have been postponed already.

Ibrox is obviously better suited to dealing with extreme conditions to some stadiums across the country, with Livingston against Ross County called off on Saturday 2 December.

Philippe Clement will be itching to get back into action after a couple of disappointing draws against Aberdeen and Aris Limassol where wins were really needed.

Ibrox will be packed once again and should the game go ahead as we all expect, the football will need to be much better to warm up the fans.

Cold.

Sitting in the stands will not be pleasant tomorrow, that’s easy to say given the crisp weather that has come around seemingly in the last couple of days.

Rangers need to start much better than they have in the past week, going behind in their past two games, but one positive is that they have found a way to bring it back on both occasions.

That can only happen so many times though, and the Bears must make sure that they start from the very first whistle and take control instantly to then take over the game and bring home the three points.

Celtic have slipped up recently and not been punished, something that will need to change soon if they want to claw back that gap and win the title.

Some other games may be called off if conditions do not improve, but they are finally expected to get better and the football will hopefully impress too.

This is one to watch though, as you can never trust the weather – we all know that.

In other Rangers news, it’s a done deal as the Gers reach an agreement for an early-January arrival.
