Time surely running out for Scott Wright to save his Rangers career after recent injury blow
Rangers forward Scott Wright will feel time is running out to save his career at Ibrox after a frustrating injury development this month.
Injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar, speaking to Ibrox News (20 November) shared that the rarely-seen attacker could be facing weeks out after suffering a muscular issue in the 5-0 win against Dundee United at the start of the month.
Wright has made just three league starts and two more appearances off the bench and is still to register a goal or an assist, despite being handed a run of opportunities by manager Philippe Clement.

The 26-year-old was linked with a move from Ibrox all summer and looked destined to follow the likes of Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos, Fashion Sakala and Antonio Colak out of Glasgow, but for his expected move to Turkish Pendikspor to break down, according to The 4th Official (2 August).
Wright, via Sky Sports in July (19 July), even looked confident and smiling ahead of a potential move away when he was spotted and interrupted for an interview at an airport travelling for talks, in order to break away from his Ibrox first team nightmare.
That was the second time the winger was seen jetting to Turkey in an attempt to complete a move but instead came back empty-handed.
It remained to be seen when he would have played again at Ibrox during the latter stages of Michael Beale’s tenure at Ibrox but was handed a clean slate by Clement.

The Belgian coach may already have plans to bring in a right-sided attacker in the January window, which meant Wright will have had a couple of months before then to possibly delay that decision and impress his new boss.
However, the winger has certainly failed to grab those opportunities.
Wright’s contract at Ibrox runs out in 2025 and there is no indication or suggestions from anyone inside Auchenhowie that the attacker will be extending that deal and his recent plight certainly suggests that his days are numbered.

The latest development regarding his injury and fitness surely leaves his starting position under threat and time is certainly running to somehow save his career in Glasgow.
In other Rangers news, a presenter believes the Gers could force Brendan Rodgers out of Celtic if a certain development happens.
