Four Lads Had A Dream rage at Rangers after draw v Aris, demand Philippe Clement backed by board
Official Rangers partner Four Lads Had A Dream were raging after 1-1 draw with Aris on Thursday and called for Philippe Clement to be backed by the board.
The Gers were held to a 1-1 draw by the Cypriot champions at Ibrox to leave them needing a win in Spain against Real Betis on the final day to guarantee progression to the next round.
And Four Lands took to their official Twitter account (1 December) to vent their frustrations at the performance but backed the boss to get it right if he is backed properly by the board.
“Is there really much point in another article or blog this morning? We’ve read it all before,” they wrote.
“This squad isn’t good enough, the manager has to try and get something out of them before attempting to make changes in the next few windows. Changes that he can’t be afraid to make otherwise he will be doomed to the same outcome as others. Changes he has to be backed to make.
“He will also live by the decisions and selections he makes having witnessed the performances and studied the start of the season, but this is a s—show he has inherited not developed. He’ll make mistakes but undoubtedly is trying to get something out of a number whose time is up or will never make it here.
“In the meantime, we have to try and somehow hope this team deliver enough to not completely burn it down meanwhile, because as we have seen, it’s unfortunately possible.
“Sadly that’s more in blind hope than anything else. Very frustrating situation.”
Terrible
The performance against Aris was nowhere near good enough, and also not what we have come to expect under Clement.
Since he came in we have seen far better showings of attacking football than that and defensively we have been far more secure. Obviously, players underperformed and we have players unavailable, and that all plays a part.

But Clement absolutely deserves a chance to get things right and this bad performance shouldn’t cloud the judgement from the fans of the club.
It’s the board’s job to ensure that the manager is backed to get the squad he feels he needs to compete, because right now there are far too many passengers who offer nothing and are stealing a living from the club.
The feeling is that Clement can get it right and he’s not afraid to make the big, tough decisions, so he needs to be trusted to do that by the club and everyone at Rangers needs to get behind him.
