Tom Lawrence axed as Sam Lammers starts – Confirmed Rangers XI v Aris Limassol

Philippe Clement has made 3 changes to his Rangers starting lineup for the Europa League clash with Aris Limassol at Ibrox tonight.

John Souttar and Ben Davies start in central defence with Connor Goldson suspended and Leon Balogun ineligible after being left out of the European squad by Michael Beale.

Further forward Sam Lammers returns to the side, with Tom Lawrence dropping to the bench from the number ten role. Danilo once again leads the line up front.

Academy graduates Robby McCrorie, Kieran Wright, Leon King, Adam Devine, Ross McCausland and Cole McKinnon are named on the bench.

Momentum

Clement is getting to grips with having the majority of his squad available for a game, and it shows as players are given opportunities to shine.

Importantly though the cause must not be lost by the players, and that is three points to ensure that we’re well placed to qualfy for the next round of the tournament.

Rangers

Everyone knows that the performance against Aberdeen at the weekend wasn’t remotely good enough for this team, and it fell well short of the standards that Clement has set since replacing Michael Beale last month.

This is a chance to get back on the winning trail ahead of the weekend clash with St Mirren in what is a very busy match schedule over the coming month or so.

Get a win here and build the momentum once again, and there’s no better chance for players who have been given an opportunity to impress to do exactly that.
