Nicolas Raskin and Ryan Jack ruled out, Scott Wright doubtful for Rangers vs Aris Limassol
Philippe Clement will be without Nicolas Raskin and Ryan Jack for Rangers Europa League clash with Aris on Thursday, while Scott Wright is a doubt too.
The boss confirmed during his pre-match press conference (29 November) that midfield duo Raskin and Jack haven’t recovered in time from their injuries, while winger Wright is suffering from a muscular issue.
Leon Balogun, Ridvan Yilmaz and Kieran Dowell are also unavailable after being left out of the Europa League squad by Michael Beale before the group stages began.
“We have a few players out as not selected in the European squad,” he said.
“Raskin and Jack will not be back yet. Scott Wright is a doubt for tomorrow with a muscular issue.”
Blow
Rangers felt the problems with the depth of the squad on Sunday against Aberdeen where we were struggling for quality options off the bench to help us change the game.
Leon Balogun has emerged as a real leader at the back and someone Clement clearly likes working with, while Ridvan has challenged Borna Barisic well at left-back.

With Jack and Raskin’s injuries it leaves the midfield area of the pitch incredibly light too, meaning Jose Cifuentes is likely to get another opportunity to impress alongside John Lundstram.
But it’s a must-win game and the team will need to perform far better than they did in the draw with Aberdeen if they want to avenge the defeat in Cyprus from earlier in the season.
We have the firepower to beat them and Ibrox will be electric as always, but the so-called rebuild in the summer hasn’t worked out too well for the new man in charge.
In other Rangers news, the Gers want to sign this talent who has received an invitation from Mikel Arteta.
