Pundit moots three Rangers sensations to make leap up to first team
John Brown has mooted two or three Rangers sensations to make the leap up and become first-team players for Philippe Clement’s side.
In his view, it would save the club money and could also see them allocate those funds to other positions – strengthening the team in a better way.
Currently, Ross McCausland is being used as an example for the other youngsters to live up to.

Brown said, as quoted by Football Scotland, “I don’t think we’ve had too many academy players coming through in recent times. Any good ones have moved down south and we’ve cashed in on them.
“It would be good to see two or three breaking into the first team. It saves the manager spending millions on players if two or three of the guys break through.”
Good point
A strong academy system is crucial for clubs like Rangers as it fosters a sense of identity and loyalty among players who have risen through the club’s ranks, instilling a deep connection with the team and its values.
This commitment often translates into greater effort and dedication on the field.

Cultivating homegrown talent is financially prudent, as it allows the club to develop players without the significant costs associated with transfers.
Rangers, who have aimed to be self sustaining for the past few years, will certainly enjoy having a talent from their academy that could go on to be worth eight figures in the future.
Additionally, academy graduates bring a unique understanding of Gers’ culture and history, contributing to a cohesive team spirit.
Clement has proven in the past that he can develop youngsters and he’s certainly going to take a keen look at the academy over the next few months.
In other Rangers news, a player is now in a ‘Worse’ situation than before as surgery is unavoidable, according to exclusive coverage by an injury expert.
