Rangers: Ross McCausland makes Monday decision on whether to quit Ibrox – Sky Sports

Ross McCausland has agreed terms on a new contract to remain at Rangers, according to Anthony Joseph.

The Sky Sports journalist tweeted that the 20-year-old agreed on the new deal on Monday (27 November) to keep him at Ibrox until the summer of 2027.

He added that the Northern Ireland international has chosen to commit his future to the Gers despite “growing interest” from clubs in England and across Europe.

Relief

This development on the future of McCausland will come as a huge relief for Rangers after he has emerged as one of the brightest young talents in Scotland.

The winger has forced his way into new Gers boss Philippe Clement’s plans since he arrived at the club and he has been desperate to keep a hold of him.

The Northern Irishman would have been able to leave for just £350,000 once his contract was up at the end of the season, but any fears of that happening are now just about put to bed.

Rangers

McCausland is not only a massive talent for the Light Blues, but he is also a chance for the club to show that they are serious about giving young players a chance.

He will now be hoping to kick on further over the next few months to show exactly what he can do and that he can be an important player at Ibrox moving forward.
