Rangers official partner reacts instantly to Celtic development today
Official Rangers sponsor the Heart & Hand Podcast responded as Celtic struggled to a 1-1 draw with Motherwell at Parkhead, claiming tomorrow’s clash against Aberdeen is now even bigger.
Celtic limped to a 1-1 draw on 25 November, needing a penalty to put them a goal up in the 86th minute before Jonathan Obika struck in the 90th minute to end the game level.
The draw means Rangers will move to within six points of their bitter rivals if they can beat Aberdeen on Sunday 26 November, and they will still have a game in hand having played 13 to Celtic’s 14.
Heart & Hand Podcast wrote via their Twitter account [25 November]: “As if tomorrow wasn’t a big game already.”
Aberdeen clash takes on newfound importance
The clash at Pittodrie was a huge one anyway given its proximity to when the two sides will face each other in the Viaplay Cup final in a few week’s time, but now with the added incentive of closing the gap on the top of the league, it has become a must-win.
It will be the first real test of Philippe Clement’s mettle if he can guide his side to all three points away from home at a ground which has historically caused issues for Rangers sides of the past and is always a hotly-contested affair.
A victory to take them within six points of the top spot would be a huge step towards a title challenge for the blue half of Glasgow and puts Rangers in a primed position to take advantage of their rivals’ mistakes and dropped points.

Off-field issues with ticketing for the cup final and tensions rising between the sets of fans had already turned up the heat on this clash, and with the added boost for Rangers, it’s likely to be a difficult and tense game for all involved, and one Rangers have to win.
In other Rangers news, a contract announcement could be made imminently.
