BBC share update on future of Rangers attacker Ross McCausland
The BBC have shared what Philippe Clement has shared about the future of Ross McCausland at Rangers in his recent press conference.
Clement shared on Friday, 24 November that he’s got a good feeling that the 20-year-old puts pen to paper on a new deal at Ibrox.
Recently, McCausland was rewarded for his progress as he received a call up to the Northern Ireland side and also made his debut against Finland.

“I have no idea about that,” Clement said of possible suitors.
He continued: “That’s always something for the player and his agent. We’re talking with him about a new contract. I have a good feeling around that, but it needs to be on paper first.
“I could have treated the situation in a different way and first let him sign a contract before I let him play,” he said. “I didn’t do that because I know how important Glasgow Rangers is for Ross.
“After his game against Livingston and the good performance, he got also the international call. That’s also because he started a game. I think we’re on the right way and I have total trust that it’s going to be a positive story.”
Keep him
Clement holds the key to unlocking McCausland’s full potential as by providing consistent opportunities in the first team, he can foster the young attacker’s development, allowing him to gain valuable experience and confidence.
Tailoring training sessions to enhance McCausland’s strengths and address any weaknesses will be crucial.
Clement’s mentorship and strategic guidance can shape the 20-year-old into an important first-team player.

Retaining the Northern Ireland international is imperative for Rangers as his blend of youth and skill is an asset that can contribute to long-term success.
McCausland’s loyalty, showcased by his contract extension until 2024, reflects a commitment that the club should reciprocate.
As a rising star, McCausland’s value extends beyond the pitch, influencing the team’s image and attracting future talent and the club have already proven that they can do right by their best young talents.
