Nicolas Raskin ruled out for Rangers vs Aberdeen, Ryan Jack doubtful
Rangers will be without Nicolas Raskin again when they face Aberdeen on Sunday while Ryan Jack is doubtful, Philippe Clement has confirmed.
The Gers have had a torrid time with injury issues this season and will be without Belgian Raskin for the first game back after the international break, while Jack is also a doubt after just 11 minutes for Scotland.
In more positive news though Kemar Roofe is returning to full training which means he could feature from the bench, while the rest of the squad trained as normal meaning Clement has more options to choose from for the game.
“Raskin is still out, Jack is doubtful for Sunday,” Clement said.
“Roofe is starting to train with the team in full sessions a couple of days a week, the rest of the squad trained as normal.
“Nico (Raskin) will return in the next couple of weeks, not a major issue now,” he added later in the press conference.
Blow
There is no question that central midfield is by far the weakest area of the squad at Ibrox right now, and it isn’t being helped by injuries.
Jack and John Lundstram had formed a great partnership in recent weeks in Raskin’s absence but now with Jack likely to miss out, it’s a chance for Jose Cifuentes to come into the fold and finally make an impact.

The Ecuador international was seen as one of the most exciting signings of the summer window rebuild but he’s struggled to adapt so far and has found himself down the pecking order.
He himself has suffered with injuries too but this will be a chance for him to impress from the start in a big game and show Clement that he has a future at the club in the manager’s plans.
Beyond that the squad is getting stronger and fingers crossed that we can get them back sooner rather than later.
