Juventus ready £17.5m bid to sign Lewis Ferguson as Rangers transfer development emerges
Rangers may be forced to rue a missed opportunity in Scotland star Lewis Ferguson with Serie A giants Juventus interested in a January move for the former Aberdeen player, according to MailOnline.
The newspaper reported on Friday (24 November) that Juventus have stepped up their interest in Ferguson, also revealing Rangers had been previously linked with the record-breaking Scot in Italy.
Since switching to Bologna in July 2022, Ferguson has gone from strength to strength, with the Gers potentially rueing the missed chance to sign the star last summer.

The player’s footballing family links him to Rangers, with his father Derek and uncle Barry both playing for the 55-time Scottish Premiership winners.
A missed opportunity
Ferguson has become an extremely exciting talent since taking his development to Italy. Following 169 appearances and 37 goals for Aberdeen, the 24-year-old was snapped up by Bologna last summer for £3million.
Primarily played as an attacking midfielder, but also capable of being deployed more defensively, Ferguson has recently netted his tenth Bologna goal, becoming the joint-top-scoring Scot in Italian football history, level with the one and only Denis Law.
That is no easy feat, especially while adapting to life in Italy, so it is no wonder why Juventus are looking to purchase the player for £17.5million during the January transfer window.

Despite it being a brilliant opportunity for the Scotland international, it will still feel like an opportunity missed for the Gers, with the player right under their noses in the Scottish Premiership for so many years.
Handed his debut by Steve Clarke for Scotland, Ferguson is also a trusted member of his national team and has made 10 appearances so far.
