Danilo sends four-word message to Rangers teammate Todd Cantwell ahead of international break

Rangers striker Danilo has sent a four-word message to his Ibrox teammate Todd Cantwell on social media platform Instagram.

Scottish football is currently paused for the international break, with Rangers defeating Livingston in their last match before the break on Sunday (12 November).

Summer signing Cyriel Dessers and captain James Tavernier were on the scoresheet in the 2-0 Scottish Premiership victory.

Ahead of the international break, the official Europa League Instagram account (14 November) posted a photo of the Gers pair on with the caption “These two…”

Ibrox summer arrival Danilo then reposted the image on his personal Instagram account and wrote the words: “His name is Cantwell.”

All smiles

It really is all smiles now at Ibrox, which really wasn’t the case not so long ago under former manager Michael Beale. He was the one who brought both Danilo and Cantwell to Glasgow, but they had very different starts to life at the club.

Cantwell immediately hit the ground running after a difficult spell in England with Norwich City, with the talented midfielder having arrived in January.

He was then joined by striker Danilo in the summer, with the 24-year-old arriving from Dutch club Feyenoord. The forward struggled to really take off after impressing for Feyenoord, with a fractured cheekbone then disrupting his time on the pitch.

But he is now looking sharp under new manager Philippe Clement, with the same to be said of several Gers players who were struggling under Beale.

The grey cloud over Ibrox has lifted, and the man in the dugout will be eager to have his full squad back from the international back fit and healthy as they look to continue their strong momentum.

In other Rangers news, one Gers star has sent a message to Ross McCausland after what he did in the 2-0 win against Livingston.
