Kenny Miller stunned by what ‘incredible’ Ross McCausland did for Rangers v Livingston
Kenny Miller was left stunned by an incredible finish from Ross McCausland during Rangers’ win over Livingston on Sunday 12 November.
The Light Blues came out on top at the Tony Macaroni Arena with a 2-0 win, thanks to goals from Cyriel Dessers’ and James Tavernier. Rangers felt as though they should have doubled their lead when McCausland slammed home his effort late in the first half.
On his first start, the 20-year-old was denied his first Rangers goal as play was called back for a foul by Adballah Sima in the build-up, but despite the referee’s decision, Miller was blown away by McCausland’s “wonderful finish.”

Speaking on Sky Sports (12 November, 12:46) he said: “I’ve not seen anything. I’ve seen Sima, who maybe should score who was maybe getting pulled. Then Dessers followed up who should maybe get a clearer shot away.
“But then I’ve seen a wonderful finish. Take nothing away from this finish from McCausland, it is an incredible finish. Composed, side of the foot right into the top corner of the net, what a way that would have been to open the account.”
Some talent
Since Philippe Clement arrived at Ibrox it feels as though the mood has been lifted completely at Rangers, with players young and old rediscovering their individual form to help the team return to winning ways in the Scottish Premiership and the Europa League.
Very few players have regressed under the Belgian, but McCausland is one player that seems to be improving with each passing week and his performance against Livingston from the right flank on Sunday was nothing short of exceptional.

The 20-year-old seemed to strike fear into the Livingston backline every time he got on the ball, with his exceptional pace and explosive dribbling ability providing a constant threat. Whether or not you think he dived to win the Light Blues their penalty, he showed excellent skill to force the keeper into fouling him.
It would have been the perfect way to cap off his first Rangers start had his incredible strike counted late in the opening period, but it seemed as though McCausland used up all his luck in winning the penalty.
If he keeps playing like this, it won’t take long for the 20-year-old to register his first goal for Clement’s side.
In other Rangers news, Chris Sutton aimed a sly dig at McCausland after he won a penalty in the first half of the clash with Livi
