Rangers sensation Ross McCausland in line for Northern Ireland fast-track after latest positive Ibrox news
Rangers will be well represented in the upcoming international break, with plenty of players set to jet out to different destinations to represent their countries.
And one Ibrox sensation who will more than likely be heavily involved on the pitch is 20-year-old winger Ross McCausland.
As per the official Irish Association website (9 November), the young attacker has been called up to the Northern Ireland Under-21 squad for their match against England.
The nation will take on the Young Lions in a Euro 2025 qualifier at Goodison Park on 21 November, with McCausland’s side currently bottom of their group.
Gers youngster McCausland has already impressed one manager in recent times, with the winger getting plenty of game time under Philippe Clement since the Belgian took over from Michael Beale.
Soon he will try and catch the eye of Northern Ireland Under-21 manager Tommy Wright, and if that happens, senior boss Michael O’Neill will simply not be able to ignore the 20-year-old for future squads.

The manager demonstrated his willingness to promote youth in the last international, with McCausland’s Under-21 teammate Michael Forbes, of West Ham, called into the squad for the meeting with Slovenia following an injury crisis at the back.
Featuring against the likes of St Mirren and Hearts in the Scottish Premiership, McCausland was handed a cameo in the Europa League against Sparta Prague on Thursday (9 November), and he certainly didn’t disappoint the Ibrox crowd.
Despite the long list of summer arrivals at the Glasgow club, the winger has forced his way into Clement’s plans, and that doesn’t look like changing any time soon.
In other Rangers news, the Scottish Professional Football League has defended a Gers decision as Aberdeen rage, according to BBC Sport.
