Sky Sports pundit gushes over Rangers ace Danilo as footage emerges from Sparta Prague win

Kris Boyd has been waxing lyrical over Danilo’s goal for Rangers in their 2-1 win against Sparta Prague in the UEFA Europa League.

The Czech Republic side visited Glasgow on Thursday, 9 November, and were sent back empty handed by Philippe Clement’s side.

Danilo, the mask-wearing Brazilian talisman scored an important goal that eventually proved to be the difference between the two sides.

Boyd, a Sky Sports pundit, wrote in his Scottish Sun column on 10 November, “Danilo was excellent, led the line well and scored a great goal.”

Top effort

The way the Brazilian chased down the ball and did not give it up until he won it, tells you that he’s got the right mentality.

He’s willing to work 200 per cent hard in order to gain an advantage for his team no matter how slim the chances might be.

Despite not recovering completely from his facial injury, he does not seem like a player who’s playing with fear.

In fact, he looks like someone who’s had his shackles taken off and he deserved to find the back of the net for the work he put in to find himself in that situation.

This also put Gers in a very strong position to secure qualification into the next round and they’ll be targeting first place in order to avoid a game against one of the third-placed Champions League teams.

Philippe Clement’s starting to imprint his philosophy on this side and it remains to be seen just how far he can take them.

In other Rangers news, a BBC pundit has claimed that a Gers first-team player will jump at the chance to leave Ibrox as a transfer story has emerged recently.
