Philippe Clement rages at Todd Cantwell and Danilo after what they did in Rangers v Sparta Prague – Official club partner
Philippe Clement was raging at Todd Cantwell and Danilo after what they did during Rangers win over Sparta Prague, according to Four Lads Had A Dream.
The attacking duo got a goal each in the first half of the clash at Ibrox to give the Gers a 2-0 lead at half-time after a terrific showing of attacking football.
But despite the lead and performance Clement wasn’t happy with his forwards dancing in celebration after the second goal, and according to the official club partner he made it very clear to them on the pitch.
“Don’t know if seen on TV, Cantwell and Danilo doing a wee celebration dance at [the] corner after [the] goal,” they wrote.
“Manager races out gesturing to get back in and he wants more, no carry-on.
“Exactly what you want to see 2-0 up and he demands more.”
Standards
At Rangers, winning games is expected but it’s not just about the win. It’s about winning in a certain fashion and Clement clearly understands that.
The team have become a far more efficient attacking unit and a far more entertaining outfit to watch, and that’s because the manager is upholding his own standards.

He wants the team to become ruthless against all levels of opposition and when we’re on top not to let them off, but to put our foot on their neck and make a point.
We have done it several times already in his short reign and doing it again against Sparta Prague in a must-win Europa League game in front of the Ibrox crowd was what he wanted again.
The players know the standards and expectations and now the fans do too. Nothing less than absolute maximum efficiency and effort will do and that’s exactly how it should be.
