BBC Sportsound cannot believe ‘Unbelievable’ Danilo for Rangers v Sparta Prague

Lee McCulloch was left stunned by Rangers striker Danilo as he gave his side the lead against Sparta Prague in the Europa League on Thursday 9 November.

The BBC pundit could not believe the composure of the Brazilian as he stole the ball from Gomez on the edge of the box and then rolled it into the bottom corner at Ibrox.

Philippe Clement will have been delighted and it set his side on their way to yet another big European win for their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages.

Speaking live on BBC Sportsound after the opening goal [9 November, 20:13], McCulloch was stunned by the South American who was in a world of his own.

“Unbelievable composure,” he simply said.

Rangers

Star.

This is the man who we paid all of that money for over the summer.

The debate stirred after only a couple of weeks, and so is the pressure in Glasgow, with Cyriel Dessers, Sam Lammers and the Brazilian all somewhat struggling to adjust.

Now that moment has come, and we are seeing Danilo take the pressure in his stride, scoring goals and even assisting them with every performance under Clement so far brilliant.

If this kind of form can continue, then there is no reason why he cannot become the main man in the Scottish Premiership, as well as in Europe every single week.

With the chance to add silverware to his cabinet next month too, the confidence of the striker is only going one way at the moment, and that is up.

These players have taken a kick after the slow start to the season, but that has been transformed under the new gaffer, who will only be demanding more.
