Confirmed: Nicolas Raskin and John Souttar ruled out for Rangers v Sparta Prague, Kemar Roofe returns
Rangers will be without Nicolas Raskin and John Souttar for the Europa League clash with Sparta Prague at Ibrox on Thursday, Philippe Clement has confirmed.
Speaking to the press ahead of the game, the manager confirmed midfielder Raskin and defender Souttar won’t return before the international break.
Scott Wright is a major doubt for the game while Rabbi Matondo has returned to training but won’t be available for selection, but in more positive news Kemar Roofe will be with the squad although he will only be fit to play around 10 minutes.
“Raskin and Souttar will not feature in the next two games,” he said. “Hopefully the international break will give us time to recover.
“Kemar Roofe will be in the squad, although will be very early for him. Will not be more than 5-10 minutes. We are limited with our squad.
“Scott Wright is a serious doubt for tomorrow. Rabbi Matondo trained with the group for the first time today but is not ready for selection.”
Momentum
Rangers have been absolutely fantastic since Philippe Clement came in and have completely turned over a new leaf since getting rid of Michael Beale.
The injury issues have lessened a little bit in recent weeks but they’re still obvious enough that Clement has some big decisions to make.

Ridvan Yilmaz is obviously still ineligible which means Borna Barisic should come back into the mix at left-back, while Danilo and Todd Cantwell continue to fix up their confidence and sharpness to make us a better team.
We have to use the fact the game is at Ibrox as a major advantage and the fans need to get right behind the team, because a win would be absolutely huge for our qualification hopes.
The team is high on morale and performing well, so now it’s about carrying it over to get the three points and keep the momentum going ahead of the international break.
