Official Rangers partner tells Rangers to buy Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland
Rangers have been told to sign Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland in January to “rescue him”, by official club partner Heart and Hand podcast.
The striker has scored twice in two games against the Gers this season, including one in the League Cup semi-final at Hampden Park this past weekend.
And writing on their official Twitter account (5 November), Heart and Hand told Rangers to sign him and save him from playing under Steven Naismith at Hearts.
“By the way I do think we should buy Shankland to rescue him from playing for this unambitious, defensive crap Naismith has Hearts playing,” they wrote.

Rangers have got an awful lot of attacking talent in the squad, but there are big question marks over whether or not they are all good enough to be here or not.
Cyriel Dessers and Sam Lammers have struggled to make an impact, although both have looked better under Philippe Clement, while Rabbi Matondo and Kieran Dowell have yet to be able to get a real opportunity.

But there is still Danilo, Kemar Roofe, Todd Cantwell, Abdallah Sima, Scott Wright and Tom Lawrence in the squad so a move for another attacker seems unlikely without at least one or two moving on.
Shankland knows the league well and is a ruthless goalscorer but the form of Brazilian Danilo since Clement’s appointment suggests it shouldn’t be a priority and a deal could maybe wait until the summer at least.
It’ll be interesting to see as there have been links for a long time and Clement mentioned him by name unprovoked not long ago, so there’s definitely fire somewhere for all this smoke.
In other Rangers news, Gers must avoid £6m flop by getting January deal agreed early.
