Boost for Rangers as Sparta Prague injury news emerges for Europa League clash
Rangers have received a boost ahead of their Europa League clash with Sparta Prague after Brian Priske confirmed his captain Ladislav Krejci has picked up an undisclosed injury to rule him out.
The Czech side will be without their captain and talisman for the key Europa League fixture, in news which should come as a huge boost to Rangers’ chance of gaining all three points.
Krejci has scored three goals in four Europa League games so far this season, and has one goal and three assists in the league after last season being named player of the year in the Czech Republic.

As shared by Rangers Review [6 November], the Sparta Prague boss shared: “Every player that we can’t use and is unavailable due to injury, we miss. At the moment we are without Ladislav Krejci.
“We all know about the qualities of Ladislav, but he is simply not available at the moment. But that’s football.”
A boost for Rangers
This news will come as a huge boost to Rangers’ European hopes. Their opponents are missing their captain, leader, and main goalscorer in this competition which means that is one less thing for Philippe Clement’s side to worry about going into the clash.
Rangers currently sit third in their group, level on points with Thursday’s opponents, and three points at Ibrox will put them in good stead with two games to play despite a difficult start to the group stage.
A loss to Aris under the guidance of Steven Davies, followed by the 0-0 draw in the reverse fixture against Sparta Prague saw their efforts stall, but three points on 9 November could make the key difference.

Gers do have their own squad problems when it comes to injury issues and selection dilemmas, with Clement reportedly frustrated by the lack of options particularly at left-back which saw him experiment with the formation last time out.
In other Rangers news, Clement’s frustrations have been made clear.
