Cyriel Dessers lifts lid on Michael Beale exit in clear new Rangers verdict
Cyriel Dessers has lifted the lid on Michael Beale’s Rangers exit and has admitted that you can “clearly see a difference” under Philippe Clement.
The Nigerian joined the ranks at Ibrox as one of many forward additions made by Beale in an attempt to replace Alfredo Morelos but started the season slowly before the Englishman was sacked.
Under the management of Clement, Dessers has two goals in three Scottish Premiership appearances and the 28-year-old has been eager to praise the Belgian for making a clear difference to the side already.

As quoted by the Daily Record (4 November) he said: “It obviously wasn’t nice when the previous manager left because Michael Beale put a lot of effort into working with me. It is not the first time that something like this has happened to me.
“So at such a moment you sometimes curse, because you don’t know who will take his place. But with Philippe Clement, he really is a top manager. It’s not just me saying that, all the players say that. In the first week, he mainly observed, and now he is implementing his vision step by step.
“He didn’t want to change everything at once. But after four games you can clearly see a difference. That’s what family and friends who watch my matches say.”
Instant impact
No Rangers players have been particularly keen to slam Beale for his management at the start of the season, but you don’t read between the lines much to recognise that the playing squad are certainly much happier under Clement.
It cannot have been easy for the Belgian to take over what is ultimately a squad in its infancy as a majority of the players currently at Ibrox arrived over the summer transfer window, only to immediately see their manager sacked after only months.

Clement has plenty of experience at the highest level of management and it is clear that the players are buying into his philosophy as he continues to introduce his own tactics and teaching to the squad, hopefully, this team will only continue to do better.
On a personal note, Dessers looks to finally be finding his feet at Ibrox and looks a much brighter player than he ever did under the management of Beale. Should he continue to become more confident in front of goal and build on his recent form, he could turn into the striker that Rangers supporters thought they had signed in the summer.
