Rangers clash v Dundee in doubt as footage of waterlogged pitch emerges
Wednesday night’s clash between Dundee and Rangers is in serious doubt after footage emerged of the waterlogged pitch on Twitter.
Dundee released a statement on Wednesday lunchtime to say they were optimistic the game would still go ahead following bad weather, with the clubs in contact about a decision.
However footage emerged on Twitter from account @Harriso41103986 that showed the pitch in a terrible state ahead of the game, plunging the chances of the match taking place into fresh doubt.
Shocking
It’s a major, major worry that a club playing in the cinch Premiership simply has a tiny drain at the side of their pitch as a way to deal with potential waterlogging.
We’re playing at the highest level in the country and yet a little bit of rain has put the game in doubt just hours before kick-off, leaving fans in huge trouble once again.
Fans will be travelling for the best part of two hours on a midweek, some after work, to support their team and could now be left with expenses and problems with a game not even happening on super short notice.

It’s ridiculous and shocking that at this level this is still a big issue, and once again it’s the fans who are left with the short straw and have to deal with all the problems.
Hopefully the game will go ahead but if it doesn’t, the club will need to do the right thing and ensure that the fans are taken care of properly to make up for the hassle.
