Danilo must start in Rangers v Dundee after what happened recently, Cyriel Dessers faces brutal axe
Rangers manager Philippe Clement has enjoyed a strong start to his time at the club, even if performances haven’t exactly been of the very highest standard.
The Glasgow outfit have defeated Edinburgh duo Hibernian and Hearts in the Scottish Premiership, winning 4-0 and 2-1 respectively.
And they have picked up a potentially crucial point under Clement in their Europa League group stage clash at Sparta Prague, which ended 0-0.

Starting all three of those games in the final third was summer signing Cyriel Dessers, with the striker netting once against Hibs.
Conversely, not starting any of those matches but coming on as a substitute was fellow summer arrival Danilo. He has also netted once under the new boss, with the Brazilian’s goal representing a dramatic winner against Hearts.
Danilo has, of course, had much less time to impress Clement given his lack of playing time, but that is because he has just returned from a nasty cheek fracture.

Match number four for the new man in the dugout comes in the form of an away test to Dundee in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday (1 November).
And it is a match in which Clement must now reverse the aforementioned attacking duo, with Danilo deserving of a start, while Dessers should be benched.
It is a scenario that may just happen given the manager’s recent comments, with Clement revealing [Daily Record, 31 October] that Danilo is ready to start the game, although he isn’t ready to play 90 minutes just yet.
In other Rangers news, the Gers have scouted an international midfielder, with a January transfer on the cards for the player.
