Rangers fans not having Cyriel Dessers after Philippe Clement decision
Rangers fans are not taking to Cyriel Dessers, according to Tam McManus.
Dessers, 28, joined the Light Blues from Italian club Cremonense in the summer for around £4.3million. However, the Belgian striker has struggled massively at Ibrox and was substituted off at halftime in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Hearts at Ibrox.
Former Hibernian striker McManus wasn’t really impressed with the Gers in that Scottish Premiership victory and singled out Dessers.

Speaking on the PLZ Soccer Football Show on Monday (30 October, 6m20s), McManus said: “I think there’s a lot to work on.
“They were very sloppy at times in the final third.
“Dessers was hooked at halftime – I don’t think the Rangers supporters are having him at all.
“But Danilo’s goal, it’s a great ball in. His movement, he takes a defender forward and then peeled in behind him. Lovely bit of movement.”
Shoddy signing
It’s early days for Dessers at Ibrox but this is a player who cost the club a lot of money in the summer and he had big shoes to fill after Alfredo Morelos’ exit.
So far, he hasn’t filled them.
Dessers has scored four goals in 18 appearances across all competitions since joining from Cremonense in the summer.
One of those goals was against Servette in Champions League qualifying and another was against Greenock Morton in the Scottish League Cup.
Dessers’ only two league goals have been against Motherwell and Hibs while the striker is also yet to be trusted to finish an entire 90 minutes of a match except for the 2-1 defeat to Aris Limassol when Steven Davis was in interim charge.
He’s been awful and you can see why the fans are not taking to him because the effort doesn’t seem to be there either.
Michael Beale’s summer recruitment has set the Gers back two or three years in the battle for supremacy in Scottish football.
Who knows
In other Rangers news, three senior stars have been ruled out of the clash against Dundee.
