Kenny Miller slams Rangers in ‘not good enough’ verdict as ‘very similar’ Michael Beale claim made
Pundit Kenny Miller believes Philippe Clement’s Rangers side are “very similar” to when Michael Beale was in charge.
The former is now in the Ibrox dugout after the latter was sacked earlier this month following a poor start to the new season.
Clement is unbeaten from his first three matches in charge, defeating Hibernian and Hearts and drawing with Sparta Prague.

“It’s the manner of the win,” Miller said on Clyde SSB, as quoted by the Daily Record. “It’s still a performance that’s not good enough.
“For me, the last three weeks’ performances have been very similar to what we were watching before. Hibs were awful at Ibrox and Rangers took advantage of mistakes from Hibs.
“Once you get the equaliser you don’t settle for the point, you go for the win. I don’t think any Rangers fan should be getting carried away. For me, the performances haven’t been that different. I think it’s small steps in the right direction.”

Harsh verdict?
It is not easy for any new manager to come into a club and immediately have a positive impact, particularly if they are heading into a team very low on confidence and with plenty of problems.
That was the case for Clement at Rangers, but the manager has settled in expertly, winning twice and drawing on one occasion so far.
The Belgian could not have asked for a better debut, with the Gers easing past Hibs 4-0 in league action in front of a delighted Ibrox.
The Glasgow club then picked up a potentially vital point on their trip to Sparta Prague in the Europa League group stages.
And they capped off an impressive week with a dramatic Scottish Premiership win against Hearts on Sunday (29 October), again at Ibrox.
Captain James Tavernier and summer signing Danilo were the heroes after Lawrence Shankland had put the visitors in front early on.
In other Rangers news, Michael Stewart has slammed a Gers man who “couldn’t lace” the boots of a player that Clement admires.
