Rangers named in ‘incriminating evidence’ David Moyes jibe at West Ham United
Rangers have been namechecked by journalist Kieran Gill in a bizarre “incriminating evidence” jibe regarding David Moyes at West Ham.
Moyes is starting to feel the heat at London Stadium after United’s 1-0 defeat to Everton on Sunday (29 October) – a game in which out-of-form forward Michail Antonio once again started.
Antonio continues to start matches for the Premier League side despite being on a nine-game streak without a goal in a run stretching back to August.
Writing for the Daily Mail’s The Verdict [30 October, pg 10], Gill said: “Some West Ham fans have been wondering what incriminating evidence Antonio must have on Moyes to keep starting matches – be it embarrassing pictures of him wearing Rangers pyjamas or videos of him singing You’ll Never Walk Alone on karaoke.”

Moyes has strong Celtic and Everton roots, of course, explaining this remark – and West Ham fans may well think there might just be some truth to it.
West Ham have some very talented forward players, yet out-of-form Antonio continues to be picked by the Scotsman.
It is a not-too-dissimilar situation to Sam Lammers at Rangers, as he has done little to justify his regular starts under three different managers now.
Lammers has one goal and no assists in 19 appearances in all competitions after his latest ineffective display against Hearts at the weekend.
Gers fans will no doubt also be wondering if he has any incriminating evidence on someone high up at the club.
In the case of Antonio and Moyes at West Ham, all managers do tend to have their favourites who they just cannot drop for any reason.
It is something we have also seen at Rangers countless times down the years, and will likely continue to do so regardless of who is in charge.
