Ryan Jack could call for crunch Rangers exit talks after another Philippe Clement snub v Sparta Prague
Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack could well be demanding behind-the-scenes exit talks at Ibrox after another Philippe Clement snub against Sparta Prague on Thursday 26 October.
The Gers emerged with a fortunate Europa League 0-0 draw after a testing night in Prague and had Jack Butland to thank after a string of impressive saves to keep the scores level.
Philippe Clement’s first European game in charge saw a tinkered Ibrox line-up with the Belgian wanting to take a look into several of his players as he looks to strike the perfect balance for the weeks ahead.

However, Thursday’s draw was another game in which Jack was an unused substitute under the Belgian, and given his experience at Ibrox, that may not spell good news for his immediate future in Glasgow.
Jack has been somewhat of a mainstay in the Rangers team, going on to feature in over 30 Scottish Premiership games during Beale’s tenure [SofaScore] and making over 20 starts at the heart of the midfield but the senior star hasn’t been without his injury issues.
The Ibrox veteran signed a new contract at the club in May (Rangers website, 19 May) extending his stay for another year following some decent performances for the club, but with under a year remaining on his current deal, it seems as if Clement could already be planning for life without him.
Jack has been an excellent stalwart throughout Beale’s tenure at Ibrox but he can’t be relied upon to feature every week, with the likes of John Lundstram, Jose Cifuentes and Nicolas Raskin all capable of playing his deep-lying role.

Clement, ahead of Sunday’s game against Hearts at Ibrox, claimed that the Light Blues will be assessing what they need to do to strengthen the squad in January and the midfield area is certainly one in need of addressing.
If that is indeed the case, Jack’s future at Ibrox will certainly be called into question before then and Thursday’s latest snub could well lead to him demanding talks behind the scenes regarding a potential exit.
