Official Rangers partner smashes into Sam Lammers after ‘half-hearted’ performance in 0-0 draw v Sparta Prague
Four Lads Had a Dream believes Sam Lammers’ performance for Rangers is a major “concern” at Ibrox after his “half-hearted” display against Sparta Prague on Thursday 26 October.
Rangers emerged with a fortunate Europa League 0-0 draw after a testing night in Prague and had Jack Butland to thank after a string of impressive saves to keep the scores level.
Philippe Clement’s first European game in charge saw a tinkered Ibrox line-up but Lammers kept his place in the Belgian’s team despite his struggles since his summer move, and another woeful performance brought savage criticism.
Posting on their official Twitter account (26 October), the official Rangers partners posted: “I’ll say something controversial as well, potentially
“Dessers is bad, but Lammers is more of a concern for me because he’s just out there existing.
“Half-hearted in everything he does without a bit of confidence. He’s miles off it so far in his Rangers career.”
Woeful
Clement himself was keen to temper expectations despite such an impressive start under his leadership, and the boss will know there is plenty of work to do with the team.
And their display in Prague was certainly a huge indication of the mounting task at hand for the Belgian coach after they ended the first half without a single shot on target.

Lammers has become an unfortunate scapegoat and symptom of the flailing Rangers attack at times this season and his woeful start to his Ibrox continued once again in Prague.
The former Sampdoria man failed to register a single key pass, won just two of his duels, and recorded just 38 touches in his 90 minutes on the pitch, dribbled past once and lost possession 10 times [SofaScore].
Certainly, Clement has a huge task on his hands moulding this Rangers team into strong title contenders but he may even have a much bigger task in turning around Lammers’ fortunes.
What did former boss Michael Beale see in him when he brought him in from Italy? Clement will be thinking the same thing right now.
