Rangers team news as Borna Barisic and Dujon Sterling to stay in Glasgow
Neither Borna Barisic nor Dujon Sterling will travel to Prague with the rest of the Rangers squad ahead of their Europa League clash with Sparta Prague on 26 October, according to the Daily Record.
The newspaper shared via their website on 25 October that neither player had trained with the squad after picking up injuries, while Ridvan Yilmaz is also unavailable having not been registered for the squad.
This news may force Philippe Clement to be creative with his squad and style as he attempts to cover for the absentees, with youngster Adam Devine and Ben Davies both tipped to fill in.

An ongoing injury crisis
Such is the nature of the beast that Clement has just stepped into, he has been immediately welcomed by an ongoing injury crisis with key players putting dents in his plans for his squad.
Clement was lucky in his first outing against Hibernian that Todd Cantwell, Danilo and Ryan Jack were all ready to return from separate injuries which had seen them miss several games in recent weeks, but with the blows to Sterling and Barisic, there is a new problem position.
While either Devine or Davies would be capable of filling in, it’s far from an ideal position to be in ahead of a game the new boss will desperately want to win given the importance of challenging for European success at Rangers.

Whether it’s the 20-year-old or the centre-back chosen to start on the left flank on Thursday night, Clement will be hoping they can play their part for the side, and that the absence of both his first and second-choice options won’t be too derailing.
