Philippe Clement caught in Rangers incident v Hibernian, another manager red carded
Philippe Clement was almost caught in an incident that saw Derek McInnes sent off early in his Rangers career against Hibernian on Saturday 21 October.
BBC Sport Scotland journalist Martin Dowden shared that the Belgian appeared to play a ball that hadn’t gone out of play when the away side were trying to attack.
Derek McInnes was recently sent off for something similar at Kilmarnock, and Clement risked potentially the quickest red for a new manager ever, thankfully, nothing came from it.

Dowden wrote for the BBC: “Philippe Clement has already made an impact.
“He seemed to play a ball that hadn’t gone out of play, with Hibernian trying to get up the pitch. Very similar to the one Derek McInnes recently saw red for.
“That would have been quite something so early on.”

Close.
We are loving the immediate passion shown by Clement, who is clearly desperate to turn things around at Ibrox, something which Beale rarely displayed on the touchline.
There was a sense of calm, but sometimes too much from Beale, but Clement has swiped that away quickly and is really getting stuck into what it means to be manager of Rangers.
Clement wasn’t shown his marching orders as he didn’t do anything wrong, but it was close, so it would be recommended he tries not to overstep that line, literally.
Rangers got off to a cracking start and there was much more energy on show, both off and on the ball, with the press much higher instantly.
Beale will be left scratching his head with Clement getting instant answers and a massive 4-0 win which looked like it would never happen under the Englishman.
Long may this continue, what a day.
In other Rangers news, one inconsistent Ibrox defender must improve under Clement all be shown the Auchenhowie exit door in January.
