Connor Goldson and Todd Cantwell missing as Rangers squad arrive v Hibernian
Rangers welcome Hibernian to Ibrox on Saturday 21 October with Philippe Clement looking to get his reign underway with a much-needed three points.
The Belgian will have to fight against many injury issues though, with Jose Cifuentes the latest to add to a long list, although he has welcomed back the likes of Ryan Jack it seems.
In a video shared on the official club Twitter account, the players arrived at Ibrox but with the big potential double blow of Connor Goldson and Todd Cantwell missing.
Not more bad news.
Despite not being in the video, hopefully, it was just the time of filming that meant Goldson was not spotted, with Cantwell more expected after his recent blow.
Clement will have everything crossed that the injury situation will clear up quickly in Govan, as he got to work at Auchenhowie this week with a depleted squad, to say the least.
Goldson is a leader in this squad, more than most, with him being the one who usually stands up when the worst is happening, as it is at this very moment.
With Leon Balogun, Ben Davies and John Souttar though, that is one area where there is more than enough cover, unlike those wide attacking areas at this moment in time.
Another positive was seeing the likes of Danilo, with his pace and athleticism potentially needed compared to the big figure of Cyriel Dessers, who will be desperate for a fresh start under Clement already.
Hopefully, clarity comes along with some good news soon.
In other Rangers news, a “big offer” in January has been mooted to “force Rangers’ hand” in having to sell a star player.
